3. Applicants applying for grades 1-12, who are not native English speakers, will need to take an English language assessment (reading, writing, and speaking).
*Applicants will be contacted by the school to schedule the language assessment. Assessment results will accompany the applicant’s application and will be reviewed by the admissions team before a final decision is made.

Important Information:
*Only students whose parents agree to and sign the Statement of Evangelical Faith and the Parent Admission Agreement Form will be accepted.
*Every child must be at least six years old by December 31st to be eligible for first grade that school year.
*Elementary students may not be admitted to a class in which they are more than one year older or younger than their classmates.
*New students must meet appropriate standards for fluency in English, the language of instruction at Whitman Academy, to be accepted.
*Administration may request a family interview before an admission decision is made, depending on the applicant’s previous schooling experience.
Whitman Academy does accept children with learning challenges but is not equipped or staffed, at this time, to accommodate students with severe learning or physical disabilities or to teach beginning ELL (English Language Learner) students who are in the upper elementary and secondary levels.
